The MultiCare Health System provides continuing medical education to employees, non-employees, and the professional healthcare community through the Institute for Learning and Development (ILD). American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) CPR, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes, courses, and training are offered at Allenmore Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, Tacoma General Hospital, and at various speciality clinics throughout the Puget Sound Region.

MultiCare will cover employee tuition for Life Safety Courses once every two years if the courses are a REQUIREMENT of their position.
Employee Course Registration REQUIRES:
1) Email Address
2) Employee ID Number
3) Supervisor Name & Contact Phone Number
Employee Course Textbook Access
Course materials are available for employee use. Employees may obtain texts at either the Tacoma General Hospital Wagner Library located on floor 3 M or at the Good Samaritan Education Department. Employees may elect to purchase their own course textbooks while registering online or by phone.
Employee Course Cancellation Information & Policy
Employees ARE REQUIRED to cancel at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the course start time. MultiCare WILL NOT authorize payment for additional courses if this policy is not followed. Acceptable methods of course cancellation include:
